Life Is Peachy When You Make My Peach Cocktail Recipes

Loving the sweetness of peach the way I do, I am always looking for ways to mix that peachy flavor into my favorite peach cocktail recipes.

I have mixed fresh peach puree or peach juice with everything from gin, vodka, whiskey, and rum.  I love tweaking some of my favorite recipes to include that delicious peach taste. I have even made peach sangria and tried peach wine and spritz. My peach affinity is endless.

Peach Daydreams As A Child

Fresh Peaches are best in my Peach Cocktail Recipes

One reason I think I love the flavor of peach is that it reminds me of summer and the warm weather we so yearn for here in Michigan during the other three seasons.

Also, I have memories from when I was a small child and got to enjoy picking peaches from my Mamaw’s neighbor’s tree in Florida and eating them right then and there.

Back home we had a pear tree in our backyard (I know we are talking about peaches, but wait for it).

I used to sit beneath that tree and wish it was a peach tree. Sometimes I would even take a peach from our refrigerator and sit near that tree and eat it, pretending I just picked it fresh.

Fortunately, I do like pears as well. I would gladly pick one of those if the peaches were gone.

Peach Pairings

I find it especially tasty to pair my peach cocktails with food that has a bit (or more) of peach flavor. Sometimes it is in the barbecue sauce in ribs or wings. Even more often it is in a dessert.

It is also easy to pair with an appetizer like the one from our friends at Cuss Kitchen called Whip it Good. It has roasted peaches and feta on a delicious crostini.

I told you I like peaches! Even though a peach cocktail tastes like summer in a glass, it can be enjoyed year-round. Please follow me for more tasty cocktails at NextCocktails.com
