Have You Ever Tried Gourmet Jelly Beans Before?
Over the years I have sampled quite a few Jelly Belly Jelly Beans and I found them to be very authentically tasting.
My kids used to bring them home and every once in a while, they would give me one to try. Sometimes because they were a variety they thought didn’t taste good to them.

Recently I was shopping at Von Mar while at our temporary home in St. Louis Missouri and while browsing I found this box of Jelly Belly Cocktail Classics jelly beans.
I immediately picked up the box and investigated the contents. This container contained eight flavors of cocktails (which I already enjoy) so I decided to purchase it.
Do Jelly Belly Cocktail Classics have alcohol in them?
These Jelly Belly Cocktail Classics do not have alcohol in them. They just are a guilt-free, sugary representative of some of the classic cocktails we so enjoy.
Plus, you don’t have to worry if your kids have tried them, these treats cannot get them drunk.
I Love Experiments – Especially With Candy
I decided to do an experiment on these small little jelly beans to see if I could recognize the flavors they represent. Some were easier than others but it was a fun treat for sure.
It is good to note, I thought of my friends who do Dry January when starting this experiment. This would be a great ‘Non-Alcoholic’ enjoyable treat if they tasted authentically true.
Two Rounds Of Experimentation For These Jelly Belly Jelly Beans
My first time through the beans I was able to pick out the taste of most of them after randomly putting them in my mouth without looking first. The tastes were unique and delicious for the most part.
The second time through I placed all of the Jelly Belly Cocktail Classics in order and gave them a good sample while knowing what to expect. I had the hardest time with the Moscow Mule.
These are my findings for the 8 varieties of Jelly Belly Cocktail Classics in hopes to find one to love. I have also included a bonus 9th tasting because I thought of a combo worth trying.
I decided to rate my findings on a 1-5 ‘Cheers’ score (and if you are wondering what the ‘Cheers’ score is, I made it up).
#1 Strawberry Daiquiri
If you’re looking for a sweet taste you will find it here. When I tasted this flavor I got a really strong strawberry flavor plus that sugary sweetness. I feel like this Jelly Belly represented its name correctly and I gave it 4 Cheers!
#2 Margarita
Bring on Taco Tuesday with this jelly belly. It is full of the tartness you associate with a Margarita without the hangover the next day. I was also immediately reminded of the limeade flavors from my younger days. I gave it 4 Cheers as well.
#3 Mimosa
I could taste the citrusy orange flavor right away with the little orange jelly bean. When I ate the second one it seemed a little more peachy and tart than I remembered the first time. 3 Cheers for this one.
#4 Mojito
My first experience with this mini Mojito one was a minty fresh taste in my mouth. Don’t get me wrong, it was very subtle but I wasn’t the biggest fan of it (even though I knew what it was). I gave it 2 Cheers.
#5 Moscow Mule
I had to try this one a few times to figure it out. I finally realized it was ginger I was tasting with the lime and I felt like I also tasted a faint trace of mint. This earned 3 Cheers but close to 4.
#6 Pina Colada
This tropical flavor experience was my absolute favorite! I knew right away what it was with that wonderful coconut taste. Transport me to a Caribbean Island. Of course, I gave it a 5 Cheers!
#7 Pomegranate Cosmo
I really enjoy a Pomegranate Cosmo and I liked this jelly belly too. It was fruity with that tangy finish. It did take me a minute to figure it out though. I gave it a 4 Cheers!
#8 Gin & Tonic
This is socially my favorite cocktail. I was so surprised that they nailed it on the head. The tangy, piney flavor was delicious. This little treat earned 5 Cheers!

#9 (Bonus Tasting) The Best Jelly Belly Combinations – The Miami Vice Cocktail
I’m no bean mixologist but as a bonus for all of you, I mixed two beans to make my favorite tropical drink combination the “Miami Vice”. This combines the Pina Colada and the Strawberry Daiquiri.
I am happy to report that it was pretty spot on! I gave it a 5 Cheers on my list as well!!
After Tasting These Delicious Cocktail Jelly Belly Candies
I have a sweet tooth so this experiment wasn’t very difficult for me to take part in. It was good to report that I didn’t hate any of the Jelly Belly Cocktail Classics. You could tell that the flavor combinations were spot on mostly.
I have to admit I ate a few extra Pina Colada and Gin & Tonic as they were my favorites! Could I decide on one to love the most? Nope, it was a two-way tie!
