Why Do We Celebrate Drinking Holidays?

I’ve always been intrigued by the idea of national drinking holidays. But why do we celebrate these holidays in the first place?

Is it just an excuse to drink, or is there a deeper meaning behind them? Well, it turns out that there are a few reasons why we celebrate national drinking days.

For one, these holidays are a way to celebrate the art of mixology and the unique flavors and ingredients that go into making a great cocktail.

They’re also a way to bring people together and create a sense of community around a shared love of good drinks.

So whether you’re a fan of classic cocktails or you prefer to experiment with new and unusual flavors, there’s a national drinking day out there for you.

From National Margarita Day to National Rum Day, these holidays give us a chance to explore the world of mixology and discover new and exciting drinks to enjoy.

My Favorite National Drinking Days Memory

I always love St. Patrick’s Day because it seems like the long winter is over for us (Mother Nature tricks us about that). We all come out of our quiet winter lifestyle and reconnect with each other.

My mind always goes back to one year in particular at the Old Hickory Bar with a big group of friends. My husband put on this tiny little hat and was dancing around.

My bestie snuggled right up to him for a funny photo. It may have been later in the day so you can just imagine the photos that surface occasionally.
