Fun On The Pontoon With Carrabba’s Red Sangria Recipe

Are you ready to elevate your pontoon party game this summer? Look no further than Carrabba’s red sangria, guaranteed to impress your guests and take your gathering to the next level.

Not Your Average Sunday

Recently my husband and I joined some friends out on the lake. We all tied our pontoons up together for an afternoon of swimming and relaxation.

I wasn’t planning on drinking so I didn’t bring any cocktails with me. This is not normal for me, as I always bring some fun concoction for my friends to try.

After a while, my friend Carmen asked me if I wanted to try her Carrabba’s Red Sangria. She told me it was the best sangria recipe she has ever tried and I would love it. She brought out this big pitcher and poured me a glass.

I tried it and she was right. It was so delicious. My glass kept getting refilled and by the time we headed back to the dock to change and meet everyone for dinner, I was quite tipsy.

Once we arrived home I nearly fell off my dock. Needless to say, I never made it to dinner with the gang. But that Sangria was so good it was worth it!

The next day I did a little research on this delightful concoction and thought I would share my findings and the recipe with all of you.

The Origins of Carrabba’s Red Sangria Recipe

Carrabba’s red sangria has a rich history rooted in traditional Italian and Spanish influences, blending the best of both worlds to create a truly unique and flavorful cocktail.

Developed by the master mixologists at Carrabba’s, this recipe combines the sweetness of ripe fruits with the depth of red wine and brandy, resulting in a vibrant and satisfying drink that is perfect for any occasion.

Gather Your Ingredients and Tools

To bring Carrabba’s red sangria recipe to life, you’ll need to gather a variety of ingredients and tools. Start by selecting a bottle of your favorite red wine – something fruity and not too dry works best.

Next, purchase an assortment of ripe fruits such as oranges, lemons, and limes to infuse the sangria with their sweet and tangy flavors.

You’ll also need a 2 Qt pitcher to mix and serve the sangria. Make sure your pitcher is leakproof and fits into your cooler to keep your Sangria chilled.

Lastly, make sure to have a set of tumblers with lids ready for serving your finished sangria to your guests. I prefer the 20 oz YETI Rambler or the Stanley 30 oz Mug.

By gathering these ingredients and supplies, you’ll be well-equipped to mix and chill your sangria for a pontoon party like no other.

Setting the Scene for Your Pontoon Party

Now that your Sangria is ready to go, it’s time to set the scene for your pontoon party.

Is this a couple’s party or a girl’s day?

If you are having a girl’s day, consider fun straws and napkins to add that special touch. You can also create a playlist of your favorite music to keep the party going.

Try to bring snacks that will compliment your Carrabba’s Red Sangria like cheese, crackers, nuts, grapes, and olives.

And make sure to bring extra ice in an ice bucket for refilling the tumblers! My favorite is the RTIC Insulated Ice Bucket with Lid.

With the perfect ambiance and delicious sangria in hand, your pontoon party is sure to be a hit.
