Cranberry Lemon Drop

This twist on a Lemon Drop Martini is tart, refreshing and just fancy-looking enough that you look like a pro.

  • 1 Martini Glass

Ingredients
  

Cranberry Simple Syrup Ingredients

  • 2 cups Cranberries Fresh, chopped
  • 1.5 cups water
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar

Single Cocktail Ingredients

  • 2 oz Vodka
  • 1 oz Lemon Juice Fresh is best!
  • 1 oz 100% Cranberry Juice unsweetened
  • 1/2 oz Cranberry Simple Syrup From above
  • 1 Tbsp Sugar For rim
  • 1 slice Lemon For rim

Instructions
 

Cranberry Simple Syrup Instructions

  • Chop your fresh cranberries and place them in a medium saucepan with water.
  • Cook them on a low simmer for about 20 minutes then let them cool for a few minutes.
  • Mash the cranberries and strain them through a fine strainer.
  • Measure to make sure you have 1 cup of cranberries and liquid (add more water if necessary) after straining.
  • Put juice back in the saucepan, add 1 cup of sugar, and stir.
  • Heat to a slight boil, then remove from the heat and set aside to cool.

Cocktail Instructions

  • Pour your vodka, cranberry simple syrup (from recipe above), cranberry juice, and lemon juice into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
  • Shake well
  • Pour into your Martini glass with (or without a sugar rim) and garnish with a slice of lemon.
