Lions Pride In Flint Michigan
My friend Rodney Ott owns the Loft in Flint Michigan. Rodney is a great bartender who enjoys making drinks for his patrons. Rodney is also a lifelong Detroit Lions football fan.
Rodney put together a cocktail and a shot to celebrate called Honolulu Blue Kool-Aid and the Dan Campbell Soup Shot. Both look as good as they taste!
Honolulu Blue Kool-Aid Recipe
2 ounces Absolut Citron
¾ ounce Blue Curacao
3 ounces Lemonade
1 ounce (Splash) of Sprite
Start by filling your glass with ice cubes. Then add your Absolut Citron and Blue Curacao. Next, add your lemonade and top with the Sprite.
Dan Campbell Soup Shot
Mix the above ingredients from Rodney’s Honolulu Blue Kool-Aid in a cocktail shaker with ice to chill. Pour into shot glasses and toast to every score the Lions make!

Lions Kool-Aid Martini: A Twist On A Classic
With its refreshing blend of flavors and its Lions-inspired twist, The Lions Kool-Aid Martini takes the vibrant Honolulu Blue to new heights, creating a cocktail that is visually stunning and delicious.
1 ½ ounce Ketel One Vodka
¾ ounce DeKuyper Blue Curacao
3 ounces Lemonade
1 Tbsp Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice
Coarse Sugar (for rimming the glass)
Lime Slice for garnish

Lions Kool-Aid Martini starts with a generous pour of your favorite vodka (I love Ketel One), which sets the stage for a cocktail that packs a punch. To add a little tartness we add lemonade.
Next, we add Blue Curacao, infusing the drink with a vibrant blue color reminiscent of the Lions’ signature hue. Not only does it add a visual flair, but it also brings a subtle sweetness and a burst of flavor that perfectly balances the recipe.
To elevate this Martini even further, we incorporate a touch of fresh lime juice. This citrus element adds a zesty brightness, mirroring the citrusy profile of a classic martini.
To garnish this whimsical cocktail, we recommend rimming your Martini glass with lime juice and roll it into coarse sugar. A slice of lime on the rim tops it off.
